![]() If you want to import a list of synced clip name markers to your Edius timeline from a Pluraleyes FCP XML, I created a workflow here You will need Microsoft Excel and have the Macros enabled, it works fast and simple. With a touch of a single button, PluralEyes analyzes the audio from your cameras and audio devices and syncs them up, in seconds. It’s recommended to arrange the clips in the order they were shot in on the Media Composer timeline (this also applies to Edius)Ĭreating Edius Markers from Pluraleyes FCP XML From Red Giant's website :- The Sync menu option “Allow sync to change clip order” is not working for projects imported from Media Composer using PE 3.5 beta for Windows. From Red Giant's website :- Drift correction (enabled by the Sync->Correct Audio Drift menu) is only supported in the beta release for projects created in PluralEyes, not for projects imported from an NLE. A solution is to first import the large video file into Pluraleyes and allow it create the waveform, then close Pluraleyes before starting the workflow above.Ģ. option, the waveform doesn't go further than first area of the first span clip and the waveform is incomplete, but Pluraleyes will still sync the clips. PluralEyes 3.5 now handles large video files that are spanned or split (normally 2 to 4gb) correctly but for some reason when using the File > New Project from AAF File. In the open dialog box go to your Edius project folder and find your AAF file in a folder named "Your Sequence name" and ending with "exported" date & time. Go back to Edius and go to File > Import Project > AAF. ![]() ![]() After the sync is completed click the export timeline button and in the dialog box click the export button at the bottom.ġ0. After the audio waveforms are created, click the Synchronize button.ĩ. In the open dialog box go to your Edius project folder and find your AAF file and open.Ĩ. Go to Pluraleyes's menu File > New Project from AAF File. Now open Pluraleyes (you can keep Edius open).ħ. All other options do not apply, so click the OK button and then Save.Ħ. In the AAF Export Detail Settings dialog box make sure the option "Use original clips" is selected under "Video clip" and "Audio clip". Then change the Preset to Type: 4 and click the Details. ![]() In the Project Export (AAF) dialog box changes the Save in: to your project folder and create a file name for this export. Go to Edius's menu File > Export Project > AAF.ĥ. It doesn't matter if the tracks are stereo or mono or both.Ĥ. Set the correct patch mode so that the video clip audio is on a separate audio track. When adding video files to the timeline do not use the “VA” track as video and audio. (double right click Edius Sequence tab).ģ. I would recommend changing the timeline Sequence name to a name similar to your project because Pluraleyes will use this Sequence name. Start EDIUS and make a project with the same video frame-rate and frame size settings as the video clips you will import in Pluraleyes.Ģ. Please Note: AAF files are no longer supported in Pluraleyes 4 see ġ. From Edius 7.3 it's now possible to add your video and audio files to a Edius timeline and export the timeline to a AAF file (New preset Type 4), start a new Pluraleyes project with this compatible AAF file, then sync everything in Pluraleyes 3 and export the new sync AAF file back to Edius timeline.
